Carnival Mardi Gras Room Prices by Cabin and Season

Carnival's oldest Excel-class ship costs the same as its newest. Across 150,298 tracked Mardi Gras fares, a 7-night fall balcony sits at $122 per person per night, the identical median we track on Jubilee, a ship two years younger.

What actually moves your bill is the month. A Mardi Gras balcony runs $116 a night in January and $163 in March. That $47 gap is wider than the $41 it costs to upgrade from an inside cabin to a balcony.

Here is every standard cabin across the seasons we track, on the 7-night Port Canaveral sailing, Mardi Gras's only itinerary through May 2027.

Per-person totals for the 7-night sailing at the typical tracked fare, double occupancy, taxes and port fees included. Fall covers September to mid-November; holiday covers mid-November through January; spring covers March and April. Suites have no Feb/May grid yet: not enough tracked sailings in that window.

Spring is the expensive season, and it isn't close.

Every standard cabin prices about 30% higher in March and April than in fall. A spring inside cabin ($798) costs almost what a fall balcony does ($854), so trading down a category to afford spring break usually solves the wrong problem. Suites are the one exception, up 14%. The top of the ship carries less seasonal swing than the bottom.

The holiday column is the one to distrust.

It shows the cheapest median on the ship in three of four cabins, which sounds wrong, and is. That bucket runs from mid-November to the end of January, blending cheap shoulder dates with Christmas week. The section below splits it apart.

The Month Moves the Price More Than the Room

Season buckets hide too much on this ship, so here is the same data by departure month, across the nine months you can still book.

January and March are the same ship on the same route, and a balcony costs 40% more in one than the other. Inside cabins swing harder still, 57% from the January floor to the March peak. December sits near the top, which is the one expectation the data does confirm.

Room by Room

Inside cabins

The cheapest way onto the ship, and the category the calendar punishes most. In fall an inside runs about $616 per person for the week; in spring it's $798. Because the swing is proportionally the largest on the ship, an inside cabin is the room where picking your month carefully pays the highest return.

Oceanview cabins

Oceanview lands about $168 above inside over the fall week, for a window and daylight. The step from there to a balcony is only about $70 more in the same season, which is the smallest rung on the ladder. It's worth pricing both before you settle on the middle option.

Balcony cabins

The most-booked room on Mardi Gras and the one with the steadiest pricing within a season. In fall, spring and the Feb/May window, the top quarter of balcony fares sits just 4–6% above typical. There is very little to time once you've chosen your month.

The exception is the holiday window, where the top quarter runs 56% above the median. That single number is the whole story of the bucket: most mid-November and January dates are genuinely cheap, and Christmas week is a different market wearing the same label.

Suites

Standard suites run about $1,491 per person for a fall week and $1,694 in spring. That tracked band covers the Ocean Suite and Excel Suite tiers, which is what most suite searches mean. Above them sit the Excel Presidential and the Loft 19 specialty inventory, priced in their own market and not reflected in these figures.
