Holland America Zuiderdam

Zuiderdam (2002, refurbished 2019) carries 1,970 passengers. The ship has a three-story atrium with a Waterford Crystal Seahorse centerpiece and art by Warhol, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Charles Ben. The 2019 refurb added 25 new staterooms and upgraded propulsion and environmental technology — a meaningful mechanical overhaul, not just cosmetic. Dining includes Dive-In for casual, Le Cirque for steaks, and Canaletto for Italian. Greenhouse Spa has a thermal suite, and the Lido pool handles the outdoor space. Zuiderdam was the first Vista-class ship Holland America built — the template for Oosterdam, Westerdam, and Noordam. At 24 years old, pricing reflects its age, but the 2019 refurb kept the mechanical side current.
