Silver Cloud Expedition (1994, 254 passengers) is Silversea's very first ship, now a full-time expedition vessel after a $40 million 2017 conversion with ice-class reinforcement and Zodiacs. Capacity drops to 200 on Antarctic sailings to meet landing regulations. The oldest ship in the fleet at 32 years — but the 1:1 crew ratio and small footprint reach places the 728-passenger Nova ships never will. Sails Antarctica and Arctic.
