Westerdam (2004, refurbished 2023) carries 1,968 passengers. The 2023 refresh is the most recent refurbishment of any Vista-class ship, which matters — it means updated staterooms and public spaces on a 21-year-old hull. Entertainment includes Lincoln Center Stage for chamber music and Billboard Onboard for piano-driven pop. The Culinary Arts Center runs cooking demos. A Digital Workshop offers photo and video editing classes. Greenhouse Spa has a thermal pool, and the fitness side includes yoga, pilates, bikes, and outdoor pools. Westerdam is arguably the best value play in Holland America's older fleet: Vista-class pricing with the freshest refurb in its class. The hardware is not Pinnacle-class, but the 2023 update closed the gap.
